Merry Christmas!

When it comes to holiday films, “It’s a Wonderful Life” tops the list for many people. But it  may come as a surprise that Upper West Side writer Dorothy Parker–remembered for her acerbic wit–was an uncredited writer on the script. Another Upper West Side writer connected with a famous Christmas story?  Lyricist Sheldon Harnick (best known for Fiddler on the Roof) worked on the 2001 production of A Christmas Carol, based on the Charles Dickens’ novel.
